Ok, well I installed the RaceChip in the X5, one word..... AMAZING! I was a little nervous about chipping because I believed I would not feel anything, but I was 100% WRONG!! It gives you low end pick up, then when you get on the highway she hauls ass!!! I'm not being paid nor consult for this company, I recommend you buy it! Trust us that have it! It's what the X5 is missing!!!

Yeah, E/2 FTW. The low end is AMAZING, and on the highway it seems to just go and go and go.
Note...the highway power is much more linear, it took me watching the speedo rather than relying on my "butt dyno" to see the change. It's not going to snap you back in your seat, but its definitely accelerating HARD.

You guys are really making me jealous. I've had my tuner for a week or so, now. We're still waiting to take delivery of our X5. Waiting is so painful....

Damnit...now I want this on my list too! I swore I wouldn't mod the X5 since its my daily driver...but who am I kidding??? Let the modding begin! For those with the Racechips, are you doing a drop in mpg? I guess there's always some, as we drive them harder now. Thoughts?

Guys, we decided to drive the car back from PC in SC. Any suggestions as far as what to bring? Hopefully there will be no issues with the car.

Well, I got my first CEL, I was running the E/2 setting. Im going to get the code cleared at a friends shop and back it off to E/1 and see if that keeps the CEL from tripping.

Hmm, I wonder if its the dreaded <2000 miles CEL that several other members have gotten, and has nothing to do with the chip. Maybe I pop the chip out and run it up to the dealer instead...
Oh? Which direction are you going? Fair warning...the roads in OK aren't the greatest. Up your "pot hole watch" and you should be fine.

We leave SC and head to CA. Oklahoma City is on the way. How is the weather like? I read that it's really hot and muggy with thunder storms. If you see a carbon black m sport x5 make sure you throw something at us.

Are you going straight home? If you have some extra time, you should go through Asheville, NC and ride the Blue Ridge Parkway. Good luck on Wed.

Yeah, that episode is funny. Nobody does the speed limit though. Just have your radar detector with you. Last time I was on some twisty roads near Asheville, a momma and baby bear ran out in front of me. I actually caught it on my GoPro.

What's a "Code Reader"? Radar detectors are good in NC/SC.

Just a cheap obd2 scanner that helps me pull any codes and reset if needed.
I'm worried about the egr code
