Seat cooling adjusting on it's own??

So I've noticed that when I use the seat cooling feature at max setting it automatically adjust to middle setting after a few minutes. If I change it back to max the setting sticks. Has one one else experienced this?

Yeah, at max level, it is very noisy and I guess the seat blower motors are likely to fail if keeping at max level. Not that the blower can actually cool your bottom to the extent that you feel uncomfortable and you need to lower the blower speed, it is just BMW gimmicky trick to avoid costly warranty repair.

RTFM. Both seat heating and ventilation switch automatically from max to mid stage after a few minutes.

Place an office fan next your back, spend few days like that, report results from your physician.

not exactly the same effect but heated seat functions in the same manner. if you have to put it manually on it should be shut off manually. i don't remember if it was my X5M or another vehicle but the heated steering wheel would shut off by itself too and i would have to turn it on again. not a fan.

Yes, I noticed the same annoying thing with my ventilated seats. Really pisses my off. My GM's, Fords, and BMW E70 did not adjust without my input. Poor design. And the Ford and GM products actually cool your ass and back, not just "ventilate" like F15.

I've said this many times on here but on the E70 w/ with the massage seat the ventilation worked better and felt better. I do not know why it was removed for the F15/F85 unless it was an option that wasn't ordered much and did not pay to offer it.
