Can't say but should work as it has a jumper setting to choose between different screen sizes.

the good:

1. All apps seems to be working fine, was able to use waze and google maps and they worked well.
2. Can listen to Spotify and Navigation audio together.

2. Front camera display and rear camera display, 360 view do not work with physical buttons while in carplay mode.
3. Audio quality is not that great, seems like rear speakers not working, not 100% sure.
4. Installation was easy but there is not much space behind the HU, so putting everything back in place was a hassle.

the ugly(deal-breaker):

1. Only windshield AC vents are working, all other vents are off
2. Heating/Cooling is not in control anymore, seems to be on auto control where the car heats and cools on its own.

I'll pass this info to manufacturer today to see what wrong, maybe user error, will test thoroughly before putting back everything again.

Exciting! I believe it's just a matter of working out the bugs (possibly loose connections) with Joyeauto on 'the bad'. As far as 'the ugly' goes, you need to carefully recheck the locking blue & white plugs that connect to the HVAC control panel.

They may seem plugged in and locked into place, BUT if not, the HU and HVAC system starts acting strangely or doesn't work at all. Good luck and keep us posted.

Might it be that the center vent hot/cold gear is no longer in contact with the electronics? Did a retrofit on an X3 recently, and also the center vents were no longer adjustable with the wheel. When we opened up the vent panel, it was just a small gear that was out of place. Was an easy fix.

Or are rear vents also not working?

Camera buttons not working while in carplay is a deal-breaker to me, I use those a lot. Maybe that can be solved with coding?

And this is why we wait. Kinda agree about the camera buttons. That would be annoying as F although perhaps not a deal breaker. But may push me toward waiting for the other company to go wireless. Although I don't mind wired as I charge my phone by plugging it in daily anyway.

There is a setting in the program, it looks for aftermarket camera by default. You can change that.

Microphone was found unplugged, so that was an easy fix.

Regarding my AC vents it seems like the driver side vent has something loose, maybe the duct is off from inside. Any ideas how to fix that?

As far as I know original BMW CarPlay was not integrated in HUD and arrows should not show up. I think it will be the same on this one, but of course Anki is the right person to confirm.

Not sure about BMW CarPlay but these aftermarket CarPlay interfaces are not integrated in HUD.

Day2 feedback,

What worked:

1. HVAC seems to be working fine now, I opened the head unit yesterday again to re-do all the connections, including the blue/black connectors to HVAC panel, all good.
2. The Microphone was found unplugged, I plugged it back and place it near the hazard light button, there is some extra space there. Today while commuting I was able to reply to iMessages, Siri is listening clearly as well.

What's a concern(while in CarPlay mode):

1. The physical camera buttons have no effect.
2. When the car is near a stationary hazard like a pillar, wall or other car, etc, the car warn you like usual but you cannot see it on display as the 360 camera mode could not be engaged.
3. While doing a reverse the back camera display is presented but and soon as you go forward using shifter, the display switches back to CarPlay. I assume everyone will do a little back and forth while parking the car, and BMW very smartly keeps the rear camera display on, but in CarPlay its sucks to see the rear camera and CarPlay interface switching per shifter mode - R or D
4. No way to turn off waze app once started, it keeps beeping if you drive faster than speed limit, even you're in other app.

Thanks for the feedback anki. I'm assuming there is a setting for CarPlay not to start when you get in your car? Instead just use a button to switch into CarPlay mode?

Yes there is a setting. You can also turn off CarPlay in iPhone Bluetooth settings. Both works.
