But I will say your winter set up looks excellent.
Good to know on Nokian. Looks like they have the size that would fit the X5 20s. (275/40/20 front and 315/35/20 rear)

I would consider true winter tires if I live further north or mountain regions. For Kansas City, DWS06 is more than enough with common sense driving practice.

Nice. Belgium is on my list of places to visit. When is the best month to be there?

Haha , let me know if you come !
I'd say the best moment to visit Belgium is April-May ... June.
In the summer it's really hot and not very plaisant , IMO.

Sorry for off-topic !

Very cool. We need more photos of your car with Belgium scenic backgrounds.

Sadly- the only Nokian available are the studded Hakka 8s. The R2s (or even WRG3s) are the real gems. It's a shame they don't come in our sizes. They could charge $400 a tire and I wouldn't wince- they're that good.

DWS (and I suspect DWS06) are a fantastic tire as well- great for folks with long edge seasons.

The Pirellis that come with the OEM winter package have been great for me thus far. Only way it would get better is if I had studded tires for the occasional freeze of our hill...but I wouldn't want to drive on studs all winter on the off chance that we get a frozen hill.

Lol. It's been a mild winter for KC, hitting the 70's later this week. I'll wait until spring before pulling the winters off.
