More people prefer X5M over X6M due to more trunk space and head room. Otherwise same interior, and engine. You really cannot go wrong either way. It's just a matter of preference. Good luck!

I own a '15 X5M and love it to death and I'm planning on keeping it at least until after the next gen is released and on the road for a bit. Make sure the front break service has been done on I believe a '17 or older. The rotors from what I've read have been changed to get rid of the squeal everyone has experienced. I just recently had my front break service done (around 37k miles) and since then no squeal. |

I believe that you are pressing for some answers here that only you can answer. Do you need the space & "utility" of the X5 or the somewhat "sportier" design of the X6 hatchback? How important is resale vs getting what you want or need? And which of those is more critical - want or need?
The X6 is not as versatile as the X5 vis a vis space. Performance is identical I believe. You are listing a number of cars with their options but we can not see them. What is their real condition - scuffed & worn / shiny and repaired / mint? Only you can size that up. |

You obviously loved your X5 the first time around to keep it for 10 years. She will enjoy the X5M. |

In looking for a used X5M or X6M, is the B&O sound system a must? Most of the vehicles I am seeing does not have the B&O system. Based on some research it looks like the B&O system can control nighttime lighting in the vehicle.
Also questions about extended warranty. I'm in the market for a 2015 and most of the vehicles I have found the warranty will end in May 2019 before the mileage. Most of the vehicles are not CPO. What are other folks doing as it relates to extended warranty? |

I have searching all weekend for a X5M or X6M for my wife. I found a 2015 certified X5M with low miles (25,098) in Sapphire black. One owner, pretty much full loaded with the B&O sound system and rear entertainment system. The only problem is that the interior is Sonoma beige full leather. My wife does not want a light color that will get dirty easily or show blue jeans stain. Her first choice is the Aragon brown interior.
Can someone comment on the durability of the sonoma beige interior color and whether the color is a darker brown. |

Following this thread as I just sold my M3 and am looking for either a 2015 X5M or 2014+ RR sport supercharged 5.0. Same budget as well, like to keep it under $60k.
I've been searching intently every day and I guess my budget doesn't suite my needs because all the X5m's I'm finding nationwide have warranties ending soon. Then the extended warranties are pricey. I've been quoted $3,995 for the BMW 1yr/unlimited miles or $5,995 for the BMW 2yr/unlimited miles. Of course quotes are based on MY and mileage and this one was a 2015 with 49k miles. I've located a GREAT deal on the RR which is CPO 6yr/100k and has everything I could want but it's slower than the X5M. Let us know what you find OP. |

I am on my third x6 and second x6m so I am biased. X5 and X6 are nearly identical. I have a family of 5 and we have enough room for short and long trips and never had any issues fitting everything we need in the car. To me, x6m looks more aggressive and cooler of the two. As you can see in my signature, mine is LBB with red interior and I think this color combo is great and doesn't get dull. Either car you choose you will love and enjoy the driving experience, which in my mind is the main reason to buy these cars. I also have B&O and like the design and sound.
