On the contrary, keeps the valve open all the time no matter what the selection...eco, comfort, sport or sport +
I can with remote close valve at any time for any driving select.

I have the SAT 2TB coding (Sport +, need to test LC) on non-M sport, I have X-line 35 gas/petrol

Additional add ons:
MPPK
RC Ultimate
BMS Cold Air Intake
Red Powder coated M Big Brake Kit
MPE w/ 50 exhaust tips
20 inch staggered 275/315
Conti DWS 06
CG Precision valve controller --- you can close it (or open) on a whim--via remote controls that come with it and program on home link . Valve solenoid sensor is connected to the controller which is then bypassed back to the connection in the car. So it is connected via car and solenoid bank on the exhaust tip's neck.

Programmed to default to ALWAYS OPEN no matter what drive selection is chosen, bypasses stock settings of any kind in this respect, CLOSED settings when I activate the controller. Closes valve.

I read somewhere to pull fuses 146 and 147 when the flaps are open and the flap will remain open.
I guess you would put the e brake on and rev past 3,000 rpms then pull.
Haven't tried yet do to rain.
Anyone else try this?

Very interested in knowing if this worked ..

Heck I wish I knew about this issue before purchasing an MPE..

Anyhow .. I def want that valve to stay opened if it provides the throaty sounds you get at cold startup

Looks like the part from ECS is no longer available .. so pulling the fuse may be the only option??

Has anyone tried just disconnecting the damn thing and welding it open? would that throw up error codes ??

Why AR design? I can get you the ER catless.
Also, if you have MPE, the tip is valveless already. Why you even need to get that module?

You can just unplug it and weld it open. It won't give you an error.

Dont want to spend another $200 for it.

Will opening the valves give me the cold start sound?

You can turn it freely by hand, but after sometime, it will close by itself due to a vibration.
The other way is the use a wire to hold it still in open position.

True on that, but the MPE on F15/F16, the valve is removed.
All you have is just a dummy module for the valve controller.

The latter seems more common with the F85 guys, although its pricey.
GOLF T mod exists, you can zip tip the level in about 30 seconds, there are few DIY on here that show it

Not sure to reach the flap its seems like its pretty far inside the tip.

I disconnected 1 wire but the valve is still closed on startup. Are there 2 wires similar to the f80 as shown in the video below? If there are then thats a better option than doing anything manually

Is this an option ? http://jrc-designs.com/products/

Can someone provide a link on the DIY if there is one for an F15?

I heard back that fuse 146 is for the exhaust solenid and 147 is for SCR whatever that is. Told for diesel and fuel injected might not even have those fuses. Wrong; mine does.
On 2016 you cannot reach the flap or use golf tee.
Looks like you need to set the e brake then have someone rev up past 3000 with their foot on the brake then pull the fuse when the flap opens?

Sheesh! Im really apprehensive about doing the ebrake thing and potentially losing my garage. Im going to check another time if there is another wire or something.

If not it may just be easier to get the CG Precision valve controller

MPE does not have a valve - only oem has one. So if you have MPE you would be wasting your money.

I actually reused my OEM exhaust tips on the MPE that do have the valve
