Nice table!
The only one I personally would choose and believe their increase in performance numbers, is the only one with a warranty, Dinan. Of course they are also the most expensive, but with good peace of mind reason. The MPPK numbers in your table are a bit low. According to Steve Dinan who tested MPPK; the actual numbers depend on what drivetrain loss (DTL) percentage you use: Typical DTL is 15% = 336hp, 377lb-ft (much more than BMW claims) - Steve thinks these numbers are inflated, so he uses: 12% Hp and 8% Torque loss = 327hp, 355lb-ft still way more than BMW claims, but a more reasonable number. Ok, what hi is saying is that he has measured on (335i + MPPK ) 292 whp
Than he converted to 336 or 327 bhp (if you use DTL 15 or 12%) Problems are: 1) sedan is RWD, DTL is higher for AWD (X5). 2) he didn't provide measurements before MPPK (which I think we can google), so we can calculate delta for MPPK but I have updated with his data (327bhp and 355 blb-ft) Last edited by Mu5e; 08-25-2016 at 12:28 AM.. |
