Actually looks good, pretty typical design change from previous generation. The tech is awesome! Too bad that glorious V8TT is gone for S6 .
BTW, I'm surprised that they advertise diesel numbers in the video considering that Europe is banning them and few companies already announced no future for diesels.

The S6 hasn't been officially announced yet, but indeed there is a near consensus agreement that the S6 will switch to the 2.9L TT V6, leaving the V8 to become exclusive to the RS6. This is the same route that Mercedes has taken with the E Class - the E43 has a V6 (soon to become the E53 with an I6), while the V8 is exclusive to the E63.

Porsche is reneging on that recent comment, BTW.

If Audi doesn't offer a diesel, they'll get killed in the marketplace (outside the US, I mean) by BMW and Mercedes who do offer diesels. Diesels obviously have an uncertain future, but clearly they are going to be around for at least a few more years, if not longer.

Everything in this segment is boring from all three germans. Blandness to the extreme.

I really like it. I think they nailed it from a design perspective. The interior looks to be of a high quality as usual. I may consider the S6 or RS6 (if N.America gets it).

RS cars excluded... Audi has officially become the German Lexus.
Boring cars, boring products, abandoning the key options that made them stand out from their Bavarian brothers and all the while alienating their core customers who have been loyal enthusiasts through all their scandals and issues. Shame. Profit over principal.

Are you sure you're talking about Audi? Sounds a lot more like the brand we're on here about.

Agree. It could apply to any of the three German luxury marques non-in-house-peformance-branded products at this point.

And its no wonder as to why: they have been shedding customers to Lexus since the brand came onto the scene in the late 80s. In other words, luxury cars have become more Lexus-like because the luxury buying populace happens to like Lexus. Today's buyers are more likely to prioritize high tech features over raw performance. So, a focus on performance driving dynamics first simply isn't the way to profit as it was in the 90s and 00s.

What 4 door sedans excite you? 4 door sedans by design are bland. They are not coupes or sports cars.

I liked the old A6 over the equivalent 5 and I think the story is the same here. In a land of blandness, the A6 is a little less bland.

Always liked the A6, but unfortunately rather boring to drive. Not a bad daily whatsoever.

Didn’t Audi bump up the sizes of all their vehicles? The A3is the size of what used to be an A4, the A4 is now A6 sized and the A6 is probably A8 sized.

I think it looks way better than the 5 series and E class. Really good proportions.
