Agreed. On snow be sure to turn off DSC, which turns on DTC, and your traction will be as good as it can get.

Also your cameras will likely be blurry, so do look in those mirrors.

I've also noticed this to improve my 0-60 and 1/4 mile time. So I'm guessing more traction on the grip better in the snow. I haven't tried this in the snow, but I will.

DTC actually allows a bit more wheelspin than DSC, which can be useful in 'powering through' snow and slush as it doesn't keep braking a wheel that loses grip

During slow speed driving or when trying to get out of a dig similar to rolling back and forth to provide momentum?

Thats when i use DTC in the past is to try to rock the car out of semi stuck situation. I would imagine once you are going at a decent speed you would want normal DSC mode instead of DTC.
I use DTC in the summer when i want max acceleration since it allows more wheel spin during take off (in my 550i) Alan

But then again I think there is a lot of confusion with BMW's DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) and DSC (Dynamic Stability Control).

Allowing some wheel spin is better than the DSC system cutting engine power for hard acceleration. I guess this could apply for heavy snow conditions as well.
