BMW X6 F16 Exemplary Reliability
Testimonial: BMW X6 F16 Reliability Report
My 2016 BMW X6 F16 xDrive40d recently hit the 200,000-kilometer mark (120,000 miles) and is now over 8 years old. In my experience, it's been remarkably reliable, with just a few minor issues: - One wheel bearing needed replacing due to a manufacturing defect. - I had to replace 2 tailgate motors, one of which was aftermarket. - Both air suspension airbags were swapped out, though only one was leaking air. - The intake manifold was replaced around 185-190,000 kilometers because of a broken swirl flap. - Recently changed both xenon lights because one burnt out. Other than these fixes, the car has been trouble-free. I've kept up with regular maintenance, and despite driving it aggressively, it still performs well, clocking in at 0-100 in 5.85 seconds with launch control (tested with draggy). The engine remains healthy with no strange sounds. I know someone who's taken a 2015 X6 xDrive30d over 350,000 kilometers (215,000 miles) with just an alternator replacement (almost all mileage was highway driving) Overall, it's been a great car to own. Curious to see what issues other owners had with their F15/F16s. Feel free to share yours! |
