I got it through GetBMWParts. Looks like they have a free shipping special right now that would save you $50 right off the bat. I missed this and only got $10 off

Cheers for the pics, looking really good

It sure was cold over the weekend, I washed mine in "chill you to the bone fog" on Saturday

Can I just ask, did you have your wheels powder coated or painted ?

Couple more questions, if you don't mind.......

Any problems mounting the rims after powdercoating ?

Reason I ask, is that I had a set of rims powdercoated for my Discovery & when I went to fit them, I found that the layer of powdercoat was enough to prevent them sitting correctly onto the hubs. I had to take them off & run a small die-grinder on them to make them fit properly, which I wasn't too thrilled with.

Secondly, it looks from your pictures that you have 295/55's all round, whereas my M-Sport came with 295/55's on the front & 285/45's on the rear. But I see on BMW's website that a winter setup comes only with 295's. So is this what you have, a set of winter wheel/tyre combo's from BMW with 295's all round ? If so how does the 295/55 workout on the rear ?

Sorry for all the questions, it's just that I want to understand the setup correctly

Not a problem my friend.

To answer your questions:

Its a long story - I was told by both the dealer, BMW UK and BMW HQ that the 469Ms came with ALL SEASON Tyres. Of course this is complete tosh!

I took delivery and came to an agreement with the dealer principle that I would pay £1k for the 467Ms with the Pirelli Scorpion Winter Run Flat's included. So, the dealer swaps 'em round twice a year and I store 'em.

This year I decided to get the Winter's glossed before the dealer swaps 'em.

So, to finally answer your question. I'm assuming there was not an issue with changing them round - the people I use in Swindon are VERY good.

So far as I know they are 255/50R19 107Vs all round.

Cheers for all the info

I don't normally pay much attention to the OEM tyres that come on my cars from new. However, for some reason I decided to look up the Continental Sportconctact 5 SSR's that came on my X5, only to discover that they are primarily a summer tyre & are not recommended for near freezing temps, ice & light snow !!! I think this the first time I haven't got all season tyres on a car.

So it looks like I may need to get myself sorted with a winter tyre/wheel setup. If I do buy a complete set from BMW, I'll leave them in their natural alloy colour for this winter, but will definitely get them powder coated black for next year, as yours really look good
