Color Combo...what do you think?
We went for Imperial Blue Metallic with Mocha interior...
We were juggling between Space Grey & Imperial but finally went for Imperial...although Grey & brown go great as well but we thought Grey is a very common color specially here in Canada...so went with Imperial/Mocha combo.... I'm thinking sale several years down the road...do you think I would find interested buyers for this combo? Cheers |

Not on a X5...but on a 3 series...it is very classy!
I think it doesn't go well on smaller cars (like sedans), but should look better on bigger vehicles...maybe I ask from the forum if anyone has a photo of one... have you seen one? |

On the exterior, I just wish BMW offered more interesting choices. The imperial blue has the most energy of any of the colors available. This is one area where the new Range Rover Sport clearly beats the new X5! On the interior, my only hesitation on going with the mocha is that I'm rather claustrophobic and worry a bit about the mocha being too dark (I had the terra on my last X5 and liked it fine). |

Imperial Blue looks good in that picture. I hope it's not as dark as the Sparkling Brown. Without direct sunlight, the Sparkling Brown almost looks black. I would have liked a blue X5, but I didn't want to wait for Dec/Jan production.

Thanks - I hear you. Hoping to at least see the Mocha in person before I order -- my local dealer has had a couple come in with that interior, but they've sold them before I could get into see them

Mocha Nappa is very very sensitive. Demo model at the dealer showed lines on the driver seat already after two to three days. Also the leather is soft in the doors panels also. I would not recommend it with kids. It does look best to me, but it comes at a price (both monetary and ultra senstivie). Terra looks much worse to me in person then on the configurator. I used to like saddle brown, but had it for four years and consider it boring (I think chairs at BMW Welt are all saddle brown leather also-I could be wrong, but very similar). Pitty with Dakota Mocha there is no comfort seat option and no leather dashboard option (done on purpose of course not to coincide with nappa mocha package).

OK so here we go: launched the question to production to consider this:
Dakota Mocha with comfort seats!!! I'm fine with the Dakota but want the comfort seat/// so let's see if they accept (as a special order), I probably get best of both worlds...less expensive for sure... |
