how do I show this?

I don't know how I was able to get this directional thing on the panel. But it just disappeared after I restarted the car. I have 2015 X5 50i. It is showing in the center of the picture right above the mileage.

Completely normal to me, you can actually choose between that compass and some other info like miles to empty, outside temp, etc clicking a button on the turn signal lever.

Thanks for your guys' comments. This forum is super helpful. Sorry I was out of word when I tried to describe what that is. It is compass kind of thing.

oh, mine (MY 2015) remembers the setting, as long as it's one that's still valid next time I get in the car.
It changes to something else the next time I get in the car e.g. when it was showing navigation instructions when I shut off the engine.
