First BMW
Good afternoon all. My wife and I bought our first BMW yesterday. Got it home after a 2.5 hr. drive from the dealership and the it said the oil was low and to add a quart. Did the manual measurement and said the same. The oil level warning wasn't on this morning. Does everyone just think it needs oil? Service history from CARFAX was less than 1000 miles ago. Any tips and pointers on this is appreciated. 2016 X5 XDrive 35i.

Probably best to add some. Liqui Moly is highly recommended.

Do you have access to maintenance history by any chance? |

Since your post, it has been to my mechanic and drive train fluids are now changed. mechanic said there was a lot of metal in the tranny. Not shavings, just due to the normal wear, but a lot of it. If it hasn't ever been serviced, makes since why. Still experiencing some "jerkiness" but nowhere near what it was. I'm hoping the more I drive, the better it'll get. |
