Best way to remove gunk after debadging?

Debadged my x5, both sides and rear. Trying to clean goo left after. Unlike my previous debadged 3 series - this time gunk is very resilient. Tried using fingers and nails - will probably take me a lot of finger rubbing till blood - trying to avoid that. Any easy solvent or spray to easily remove it?

I used rubbing alcohol but Goo Gone is pretty good to remove them. You can get them at your local auto store, wal-mart, staples etc.

Goo Gone? Yikes!

Use 3M Adhesive Remover.

Garage List
Goo Gone worked well for me. That and a little bit of heat took it right off.

Every garage should have one of these in their drawer or cabinet

Goo gone or isapropyl alcohol should work.

The other thing you can do in the future is use a heat gun or blow dryer and get it nice and warm, then just pull them straight off, adhesive and all. My vinyl guy did this for me in record time. I loled because of how easy he made it look. I had previously done the whole dental floss etc process every time before. Never again!

Goo Gone indeed works, but since it's petroleum based, it will strip any semblance of wax you may have had on the paint so don't forget to re-apply a protective layer.
As others have said, a little heat goes a long way. Makes life so much easier wrt de-badging.

A heat gun, not too much heat or you'll be sorry, dental floss (or fishing line is what I prefer), boom, emblem off. As said above, adhesive remover (like 3M), Goo Gone, IPA, etc. Wax when done.

Once you're tired of de-badged look, apply your new ///M badging properly so no one can tell it's a fake. Be sure to clean area well first so adhesive will stick. J/K of course.

BTW, saw your brake updates, looks great man, nice job! Your ride is coming together properly. Don't sweat the drilled & slotted, you can always change at your next interval or watch the classifieds for someone ditching theirs. Props.

WATER based Goo Gone! The traditional one is oil based and smells terrible!

Yeah and it's hard to get the smell off your hands. I usually buy a couple cans of sardines and sit on the couch for a few hours with my hands soaking in them...gets the Goo Gone smell off.

Bug and tar remover. You can pick it up at most autostores. I think it's a turtlewax product
