F16 X6 Air bag replacement with springs

I have had enough of the air suspension issues, after fitting 2 new air bags I get intermittent chassis error message, bags fully deflated etc.
Does changing from comfort to sport mode alter air pressure in rears (I wouldn't think so as the front is not air bagged).
I am considering putting springs on all 4 corners and shocks to match.
Maybe lowering car an inch in the process.
Has anyone done this?

mFoF16, if the air springs are deflated after being replaced, the culprit is most likely the compressor.

How many miles does your car have?
