2018 X5 Audio Head Unit

2018 X5 Audio Head Unit
Looking for some ideas. My dealership diagnosed my X5 needing a new audio head unit. Price $5000.
Any ideas as to how i can save some money? The part numbers are 65125A28B06 and 65125A28B06C

A used module can work but if you ever go to dealer they will notice it. You can get a used module and patch it to be able to work. This is a non-oem method but it will work like a OEM headunit.

Is that the final price that includes installation? I ask because if you simply google the part nbr (ie BMW 65125A28B06)…you can see that there are some BMW dealerships selling them for around $1958.37 and other vendors selling that part for approx $2000)

Not sure what the 2nd part number is you posted since it’s the same 11 digit BMW part number with an additional 12th digit (C) at the end. BMW part nbrs only have 11 digits.

Are you getting no sound? Not to up your paranoia level, but there may be a simpler fix.
