Aluminum Running Boards
Another one of my undecided options.
Are you happy with this option? Is it a useful option or primarily for appearance? With it being aluminum is it prone to scratches? Any other thoughts? Thanks! |

My personal experience....
Me - I step over them, which is fine. I also think they look quite nice. My kids - don't know how they would get in or out without them. If you have pre school age kids they are really useful. Car wash guy - he seems to find them very useful when cleaning the roof... But that's his problem. If you're fussy about how clean your car looks I do find they can look a bit dirty quite quickly... If you're looking closely. |

They definitely look nice, but given how narrow they are, I wonder how effective they are. I've got a 4 year old, and as bad as it is, she either jumps down or steps on the body molding / door sill. I might go as far as putting some clear vinyl on it to protect the finish. She's only 32 lbs as of now, so not a big deal.

I think it is very useful if you go ski trip, something to step on to put these snowboards and skis securely in the rack without dirtying inside of your car!
