Roof Rail Question

Under the ZLL package of the 2015 Pricing Guide it gives an option of having roof rails in Satin Aluminum or High-gloss. Am I correct in assuming the High-gloss rails are black? I can't seem to find a picture anywhere.

Yes, there are only two colors: a silver stainless steel looking and a shiny black.

Yep, correct...high gloss are the same ones used on the Shadowline package.

In the UK the following applied:

SE - Chromeline as standard
MSport - Shadowkine as standard

Matt Aluminium is an option which I took.

There is a fourth option, no roof rails, which I have seen pictures of on this forum, I'm sure you can find them with a quick search.

Matt Aluminium looks really good on space grey, kind of ties in with the matt aluminium window trim that I took on mine plus the running boards from the dynamic package and titanium grille on the 40D SE.

And looking @ the pictures on this forum and other resources I have a feeling I'm like 1 out of 1000 that actually opted OUT of roof rails (and love it)

In the UK I never saw an option to opt out of roof rails, is it a standard option like de-badging or some special code you ask to be applied to the order.

I kinda like them actually, not that I use them to be functional. I think it breaks up the lines quite nicely, especially the black shadowline on mineral white.

I was just sitting by the dealers PC staring at his LCD picking stuff I need in their BMW supplied configurator. And when we reached the roof rails you actually had to tick the shadow line or w/e the default are for the M50d... So we left the box empty and voila, I'm a very happy panda at least with that
