I hate rear fogs simply because nobody in the US knows what they are or WHEN to use them. They just drive around with them on all the time and its so annoying!

+1.

If it's foggy, they drive with no lights on at all. If it's a clear, dark, night fog lights galore. Plus one headlight on high-beam as the other is burned out.

what bugs me about fog is people who think their automatic headlights are on - when in fact with fog, they haven't actually switched on.

Those rear lights look fab, cannot wait till March!!

Not many people over here in the UK know when to use them either

I think that is why it is being removed from US cars.

Same here. I feel like getting out of the car and punching the guy that uses rear fog lights in Southern California.

That or assume that their headlights/taillights are on just because their dashboard is lit up. Honda and Toyota are notorious for this. Like hello people, don't you wonder why you can't see sh*t infront of you?!?! Oh, that's right...because only your DRL's are on!!! /rant

Same issue as many of you guys.
People just do not know when and how to use fog lights anymore.
It became more of a way to blind who ever is driving behind them..

I'm in the US and have never heard of rear fog lights. Just regular front facing fog lights. What's the point of rear facing fog lights? Aren't those just reverse (back up) lights in OP's pics. It's a safety feature isn't it?

European laws state that rear fog lights are to be used when it's snowing or during fog. Visibility must be 50 meters or less. If you drive around with rear fogs any other time, you risk a fine.

Same actually goes for front fogs. I was pulled over once when I lived in the UK for having front fogs on for no reason, and it turned into a field sobriety test. Great.

Yes, but how do you drive with rear fog lights on when moving forward? In the US, they only turn on when you put the car in reverse.

The lights you're seeing illuminated in my pictures aren't the backup lights. They are completely different row of red LED lights, used as the rear fog light. The backup (white) lights are not the same as (red) fog lights.

Ok, that makes sense. I was confused as I thought reverse lights were being used as rear fog lights. I'll take a took myself when my car is delivered. Thanks for the insight. So those rear fog lights light up red, not white?

Generally speaking, rear fog lights are red and front fog lights are white.

Front fogs are to help you see where you're going in fog and the rear fogs are to allow others to see you when approaching from the rear.

So when I press the fog light button, it turns on both the front facing white fog lights as well as the rear facing red lights?

No: you have separate buttons for the front fogs and the rear fogs. They can work independently from each other.
