Yup, have been reading Alan's thread and bought the wet sand paper, 3M tape etc, this will be my first DIY installation!

You can do it yourself. It would be definitely easier with extra hands to hold and align the pieces.

Now I understand why Woody has a watch around that waist lol

Is the car really close to the wall or does it just look that way from the pictures?

haha, it's kinda close to the wall, i'm still adjusting the way to park a big car lol, driving a GTI for so long certainly needs some adjustment especially on parking.

Yea, gotta at least put on the kidney grill today.

On a side note, I went to visit a friend in the suburb yesterday night, and find the LED lighting very nice!

I suggest you wrap your forearms/ wrists in something thin. I don't have any real suggestions (a few layers plastic food wrap? Lol)
That bumper is going to cut your arm

Yeah the LED lights are awesome.. I am riding around in a brand new 2016 528i with about 200 miles on the odometer with xenon lights and it has a yellowish hue to it and it reminds me of how white the LED lights are in comparison.

One tip on the kidney swap install is take a look at Alan's install pics to show where the bottom tabs are located. Also make sure you drive the X5 for a few to get the engine warm.. it helps with the plastics to flex easier.

Painted my MPE gloss black, loving it, BMW should have it in black by default.

Nice! Wait did you have your MPE installed yet? Or are you not going with that upgrade?

Hehe it's cool,
You'll love it when you get yours done. The engine start up sound together with the spike from the exhaust are just perfect.
