Black fire X6M delivery

Hello everyone,

On Saturday morning I finally took delivery of the beast! Unfortunately it's being called a black sapphire Edition in the US. Anyone else have a similar experience? Here are some pics of the beast.

The first mod I was thinking was exhaust. Can somebody share their thoughts on the best first mod or any ideas. I was leaning towards akrapovic exhaust. Thanks for your time everyone.

I love my Akra and would buy it again. But, sound is very personal. Listen first if you can. Some of the Race series Exhaust Systems are louder than Akra but have a slight cruising drone that may or may not be an issue for you. If you want something that cruises as quiet as stock, make sure it keeps the M baffle operational. Good luck !

Thanks guys. I appreciate everyone's enthusiasm. I think I'm going to stick with akrapovic when I'm ready. Also going to be looking into getting a carbon fiber front splitter. My carbon fiber mirror caps should be here this weekend too

Damn already going nuts on the mods! Cant wait to see how it'll look when done! Akrapovic is a great way to go especially with your color scheme! All black everything!

Looking good! Question regarding the carbon fiber mirror caps. Do they cover the OEM piece or are they an entire replacement? Also if they just cover them does it stick out at all or does it sit flush to the rest of the mirror? The reason for asking is that I want to do the same thing to my car eventually but Id like it to look as seamless as possible. Thanks and beautiful ride!

Which brand of Carbon Fiber Mirror caps are complete replacements? BMW, iND, Auto Tecknic, or RW Carbon Fiber?

I see price differences on every website I go to on Carbon fiber mirror caps ($450.00 RW Carbon, $450.00 Auto Tecknic, $450.00 RG Sport, $840.00 BMW, $899.00 iND).

I bought mine from BMW and they’re complete replacements, I can’t speak to the others.

Complete replacements & the mirror caps come from Germany I believe.

Another question. Did you modify the black fire build with custom codes while ordering for the carbon parts or did your dealer change them after having received the vehicule?

Dealer changed them. Sorry never saw this post. The X6m is still going strong! No problems at all.
