New Member Looking For Advice
Hello All,
I am a long time reader but new member. I am now on my 4th M car. (2017 x5m).After the factory front axels failed I have had them replaced twice in the last 2 months. I am not sure if this has to do with the fact that my two front tires need to be replaced after 13k miles. I mainly do city driving. The dealership cannot figure out the issue and bmw NA has not been very helpful. This is a lease and between the whole trial and error process there have been over 1k miles put on my car. This is my favorite M car yet but I am not sure how safe I feel driving if my front axels keep needing to be replaced. Any input would be greatly appreciated. |

I’m not sure on the lease laws, but if it was owned, BMW only has one more chance to fix the front axles before the Lemon Law can be used. If I were you, I would start those discussions with your leasing dealer now.

Looking for some help or advice. Bmw gave me the option to trade in my car and purchase a new one with 5k off. With the car only being a year old I assume the dealer will not give me enough for my payoff so the 5k will go to that. The last time I talked to Bmw NA. they were not very helpful. Any input would be helpful.

A lemon is a lemon either purchased/financed or lease, as I have to sign the GA Lemon Law disclosurer for each lease. BMW NA should buy back the car, no dealer trade in. The $5,000 off is probably the $3,000 Holiday Credit and $2,000 Loyalty credit available for December for all BMW customers. Tell them you want invoice pricing, the $5,000 available to the public AND the offered $5,000 for your troubles, otherwise threaten a Lemon Law claim. Keep us posted and good luck getting this resolved!!

My dealership is replacing my front axel next week to deal with the wheel bearing clicking. This will supposedly fix the noise issue which I have neglected because the other fixes did not work.

So I picked up my supposedly fix car this week. After a day the noises are back. Is it even worth calling Bmw na again. This would be the 4th time going back for the same thing. I have three service records for replacing the axels. Or should I just go through lemon law. Bmw na has been everything but helpful this far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After a Facebook post I was contacted by another Bmw employee. I was not offered anything further. They either want me to trade in my car for a new one and even after the good will credit it will be 400.00 more a month or just keep getting it fixed because "it is still under warranty". Looks like I will be contacting a lemon law attorney.

Have you tried reaching out above the dealer level and contacting BMW USA? |

That is disappointing. Sorry to hear that. I am guessing you have less leverage when it is a lease versus owning the vehicle.
