Love those rims... unfortunately, I didn't get them in my previous '15 F15, and didn't get them in the current '18, either...
Yes, with my 15 I had planned on getting the 20s soon after I got it but never did. I like the f15 so I decided to get the 18 with everything I wanted on this one. I did consider the 40e but didn't pull the trigger on that. I hope it is everything you hope for. Can't wait to start hearing from owners once you have had them for a while. Good luck on yours.

Did you call the hotline to ask the rep? The site's info and the hotline voice system aren't always accurate. Mine took 12-days from Production Started to Production Completed. When my car was in the dealer's lot, the hotline voice system still said it's in transit.

6 days - from Order to Production Started.
12 days - from Production Started to Production Completed.
4 days - from SC to NYC.

2 days after - BMW rep claimed the car was in the dealer two-days ago. (Hotline Voice System still indicated "in transit".)
1 day after - CA said they JUST received the car in the morning.

I put order in last week. Production number received from dealer today. Still waiting to go into production and get a VIN. This is my second order of 4 cars (2 off the lot) and it is more fun to order.

Hi all, newbie here.

I’ve just placed my order here in the uk and should get my M50d at the start of Jan due to a build slot already in the system. Really looking forward to my first BMW after many years with Audi’s.

Welcome to the forum from a fellow UK M50d owner.
You will not be disappointed with the new car, powerful and stunning to drive. Did you test drive before placing the order? If not you are in for a surprise
Any questions then happy to oblige.
Had mine 7 months now from new and always puts a smile on my face each time I unlock the doors
You are fortunate to only have to wait 2 months for the arrival - just have to count the days down!

Thanks. Yes, I took one out a couple of times to get a feel for it. I’m coming from an Audi SQ5 so wanted to make sure it was at least comparable, if not better in terms of pace. It sure is so looking forward to getting acquainted with the go fast pedal when it arrives! :-)

My dealer has a car pretty much ready to get built so I’m pretty fortunate that I won’t be waiting all that long. I’m not in a rush, but it’s always good not to be waiting impatiently for too long!

I’ve gone for Carbon Black as it looks like you have too. It’s a great looking colour.

Looking at Ordering Soon

Putting my plan together to order a new 2018 MSport

One question is the Executive Package. Not really interested in soft close doors, dont know about the LED's, but do want the parking assist and top down for sure(which can be ordered on a seperate package for like $700 or so).

What about this option included in the Executive Package:6WB Dynamic Digital Instrument Cluster. Is this the same thing that is in the new X3 M40? I am assuming if you do not order the E.P. you get a analog dash? Am having a bit of difficulty figuring it out. Would I really be missing anything without this cluster?

Here is what I am considering, and would appreciate your opinions on your thoughts on this selection, and should I consider any additions or deletions.

Thanks

M Sport Design$4,350
COLORSpace Gray Metallic$550
WHEELS19" M Light alloy Double Spoke wheels style 467M-with all-season run-flat tires
UPHOLSTERYBlack Dakota Leather$1,450
TRIMPoplar Wood Trim
PACKAGES + OPTIONS
Driving Assistance Package$1,700
Parking Assistance Package$700
Adaptive M Suspension
Multi-contour seats$950
Ceramic Controls$650
Heated Steering Wheel$190
Harman Kardon surround sound system$875
Space-saver spare$150
DESTINATION + HANDLING$995
TOTAL MSRP as Built$72,710

Picking up hopefully next week, 2018 X5 35d.

Question for those who've received their 2018: what add-ons are offered and/or needed at the dealer? What should I look out for? I am leasing for 15k/year, 36 months, 45K miles. Warranty? Pre-paid service? Wheel & tire? Which are negotiable and which are not? My last lease included all services for the time of my lease. I purchased wheel and tire the past 2 leases as well. Some of this is negotiable, I think, and what have you all been getting when you sign the lease?

Thanks

Not the same cluster as X3M40i, this one is older design. 4 series LCI got the same design (non-x3 M40i) but with higher resolution. Still not sure whether the 2018 model will get 6WB with improved resolution compared to 2017 model F16. Confusing i know but i did have a few beers tnite.

I like the way your dealer presenting the details of the order/car to the customer. Most of BMW dealers I've seen so far still use the hand-written inquiry document.

It's usually not sent like that to the customers especially with the invoice numbers, I'm a broker so I get those invoices on all cars I order for myself or customers

So, instead of 18 weeks, that will be about 10. Even the dealer sounded a little surprised.

Even so still 14 sleepless nights
That is really good going, considering I had to wait 3 months from placing the order to collection.
Look forward to the pictures

Mine is at the Port of Charleston, too. I'm in NJ, so a mere 750 miles away. Dealer is hoping to make delivery on 11/30. The excitement builds!!
