Transmission Malfunction

I own a 2009 BMW X5 30i, my transmission works perfectly in drive, but when put in reverse and car acts, as if in neutral. Also at times when driving car has transmission malfunction shoots all the way to the seventh gear and stays there even only going 20 mph 192.168.0.1 router login .

You say it works "perfectly" in drive, then say when driving it has a malfunction and goes to 7th and stays there. You need to have your transmission scanned for codes. It may be failing.
