Sooo yesterday I posted about the car not sounding and driving as it should and lo and behold I just got in it to run and errand today and I have this check engine light on I checked with the systems check and it says Ok.

So my question is I have an appt on Monday, is it ok to drive the car to the dealership (about 10 miles away) or should I have it towed? I don't want to damage anything further.

@scnick82, as long the car doesn't overheat. 10 miles should be fine.
But, since you have an included free towing from BMW a press away, why don't you just use it.

I will probably just do that to be safe.

Just hoping its something minor that can be fixed in a day or two.

Best and safest to get the flatbed. Your self diagnosed engine sound and engine symbol display indicates something.

My key FOB contains the CBS Information and has a displays lots of fault messages, they did not appear on my check control. This CBS log book, contains all registered faults, if there are repeats for same issue then there could be an issue. Ask dealer for a print out of the history. I can append mine if you like, confusing for sure.
