USAA Rebate

Appears that there is now the following rebates:

2014 X5 35i = $1500
2014 X5 50i = $2000

http://usaa2.zag.com/promo1.html?pro...r-list-overlay

Does anyone who is a BMW dealer know if the 35d has a rebate? I've got a X5 35d on order and without a rebate the price difference doesn't offset the benefit of diesel so thinking about changing to 35i...

I used the $1500 rebate to negotiate with my local dealer on a 2014 X5 35d ordered the day before Christmas and was told it would go into production this week. This plus the $1,000 financing credit + $1,000 returning customer credit lowered the price a bit.

Has anyone here applied both the Un4gettable Driving Event coupon ($1,000 off) with the USAA loan rebate (2015 X5 financing credit=$1,000 off for 3rd party loan or $1,500 off for BMW financial loan)?

Do you have to work your credit(s) into your initial price, or can you bring it up with your CA or financing manager later?

I didn't know that I was eligible for the USAA credit, but I am.

Is the $1k finance credit only available at specific dealers or is it BMWNA wide? I can't find anything about it. The same for the returning customer credit credit (This is my 4th car from them --Definitely a retuning customer!)

From what I hear, the USAA discount does not have to be brought up when working the intial numbers, but I would touch base with your SA as soon as you know that you plan to utilize the USAA discount. I believe it is available at all dealers.

Read it somewhere on the forums, then I called USAA and the dealer who verified it.

You find it down their car buying path.

https://usaa2.secure.zag.com/targete..._id=ZUSA200728

Click on view offers. It's $1k on the X5 right now (it was $1.5k the last time I looked).

You don't have to use their car buying service or BMWFS. As far as I can tell, you print the voucher, take it to a dealer and get $1k off no matter how you pay.

Edit: it pays to read all the words. You get only $500 if you use BMWFS.

The X6 is on there for $2k, but it says 2014MY.

Just as an extra info, if you sign up for BMW CCA you will also get an additional check.
I received $1500 from them 30 days after I bought the car.

It says you have to have been a member for 1 year prior to purchase. Was that your experience?

No exceptions on the one year CCA membership requirement. Also, it used to be that you couldn't do both the USAA and CCA rebates. Double check current rules.

Garage List
2019 BMW X5  [0.00]
I just finalized my purchase today and because I financed through BMW, it was only $500 for my 35d.

It is not out of the pocket of the dealership and should be in addition to any other discounts you can work out.

Good luck.

Yes, you have to be a member for one year. Keep in mind that the membership is very cheap and it brings a lot more to the table including discounts for parts and apparel, events, magazines, etc.

If you're not a CCA member, you're not fully enjoying the ownership experience.
