I have a X5 on loan for a day as an attempt to sway me. What should I look out for>
I am strongly considering a 2014 X5 with 39,000 miles on it. I have it until noon tomorrow.
Per this thread.... https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=970052 It seems like common issues are the steering column adjustment and telescoping, drivers side window seal, trunk rattle, and cracks in the driver's seat are common. Is there anything else I should look out for? If it has leaks, where should I look under the hood? Anything else? Thanks in advance. I have the X5 until noon tomorrow so I can go through it pretty thoroughly. I've ran Carfax and Autocheck on it already. |

Slap nitrous on it and take it to the track.

Thanks everyone for the input. I've decided to not get this one. They offered me a warranty with Warranty Solutions however they seem to be a mixed bag when it comes to paying out claims. I'm going to look at a CPO and possibly another vehicle all together.

I bought a 2014 CPO in November of 2017, and it has been great. The only issue was the noise from the moving steering column, which they fixed. I bought it with 33,000 miles and have put about 20,000 miles on it, and I am very happy with it.

I've found 2 CPOs in the 32k range that we are going to look at. Also, in the running is a 2018 Armada or a 2018 VW Atlas. They are all pretty closely priced.

Correct, if price is the only thing you are considering, you are looking at the wrong car. I would think more like Cayenne, Q7 and X5.

I have a F150 for utility, the Atlas for the family hauler, and a 900HP Supra for fun. Continue being offended.
