What has become troubling with m cars is the amount of time the cars sit in development to production and STILL have issues. Bearing issues are now 4 a 4yr old problem seen in M5s to x5s They don't have a fix. My guess is its something to do with suspension geometry or braking. the geometry is likely causing the squeal and destroys the bearings. Otherwise they would recall and fix it. I love the x5m brakes...they squeal a little...no high pitched cat on fire squeal from the m5...feel is a little better too.

I have a feeling the guys with 20's aren't experiencing the problems. There 4 in my neighborhood....the 2 guys with 20's I flagged down and asked if they were having the clicking sound and they said no....the other Lbb(owned by a soccer mom 🙀 with 21's has been in the shop already for the cliking noise. If that's actually the case amongst others here.....could it be the added still lateral leverage of the large wheels is the culprit? I had asked this once before on here....I know fcjay has 21's

OK, bad news. I have about 1800 miles on my 17 X5M, and I was parking at the airport today and both my wheel bearings are clicking. It's not horrible horrible but it's definitely very noticeable.

This sucks to hear. I had hoped, 2 years in, BMW would have gotten this figured out. I have a '17 X5 M that is slated for late October production. The last thing I want to be dealing with is wheel bearing issues agin.
