you do understand the context of those numbers, thats super car fast, im going to pop a woody if i can get 11.5 in an suv, I got 12.38 @113 in a tuned e70X5M. For those that dont know thats faster then early GTRs. On par with a 458. It should be here in a few weeks. this track is not downhill with a 45 mph tail wind?

what did it make on the dyno? did you run 93 only too?

That weight running mid 120's is getting close to 700rwhp.

Trans is same as Hellcat so it can be built to handle 700.

Diffs will be the problem at 700 and that weight if driven hard.

The M is an amazing platform.

I would think they are fairly beefy but there is only so much you can do at that power level. I know the ZF trans has been known handle power well (1000hp)

does it have the exact one as the hellcat( ZF 8HP 90)?

The diff's have been failing in the M5's and the X5M in the high 600's when driven hard. It's just part of the deal.

The trans is supposed to be the exact same architecture as the Hellcat. It can have the internals upgraded to make it even stronger .

F85 transmission is a 8HP75Z - I've heard the same rumor its the HellCat transmission, but its not that strong. I've also heard rumors it starts slipping around 630ftlbs without being built.

piss poor by BMW not to put the stronger one in the M cars, maybe there are other factors but seems like a production/cost factor?

It doesn't seem like its a regular occurrence to break parts, you always run a risk with a tune but usually involves more than just the tune.

Yes it was done under warranty, no questions asked, but I was driving it really hard, and also this was before JB4, just stock power.

Also took it to the drag strip last night, ran a 11.54, map 2, 93octane. I was going to try out map 7 but the race gas pumps were out of service. Ran 7 times and ranged from a 11.54 to a 11.81 being the slowest which was Map1. I'm pretty happy with that, just want to run race gas now and see maybe pull off a 11.3

In the video the ///M is running on Map 2 with pump 93
Enjoy

Best,

impressive from the video, you took around 6 seconds to go from 42-100 Mph which is the equivalent of 67.5-160 KM/H I will try to check on my time and see what I get

2. Did you ever get the in-car control working (via the BC button I mean)?

Thanks.
Crickets... anyone?
No issues other than BC interface not working.
Got a couple of questions just to clarify, does the bluetooth app let you change maps via phone? And are people running map 2 without downpipes? If they arent is map 1 the only map for people without downpipes?

Yes and data log map 2 using no downpipes, it's really meant for 93+ so if you have that then likely no issues. You can data log using app too
