Is there a DIY? SSD Upgrade for iDrive NBT Evo
Does a DIY exist for replacing the Toshiba HDD with a solid-state SSD?
My E70 is upgraded and I do not worry about a failure. The wife's F15 is still factory and mechanical hard drives only last sooo long... |

Following! Techie here and completely agree, only a matter of time til failure. I wonder how we’d snapshot the software onto a new drive ? Hmm. Also, KC based here since I see OP is in STL.

If the HDD can be taken out, shouldn't we be able to directly "clone" it into an SSD?
Subscribed. We're going to keep our X5 for a long time, so this is something I'll also look into doing if there's a real tried and true solution.

I was able to simply clone the CIC, but QNX, Linux operations may be required here. A techno-savior would be invited to help us all out! |
