Even with winter rubber, you got to be careful. Some people with winter tires and four wheel drive get overconfident on the road. Just last winter I was doing fine on the highway, but when I got to a local road where it wasn't cleaned up as well, when I hit a bend, I could feel the car severely understeering. I was going maybe 5 mph, so it wasn't that fast; faster I think I would have been in a ditch. This was with broken-in winter tires and four-wheel drive...
