They told me February/March timeframe for it to come in.

They're supposed to give me a production # soon. Not sure what the "order deck" is. We're downsizing now that the kids are in college and this is just right for us.

I haven't had a BMW since 1985-I loved it (325is) but swore off them after getting a lemon. But right now they have the best value and the main selling points for me are the warranty and included maintenance. Love how it drove (I liked the Mercedes very much but BMW is the better value) Can't wait!

Can someone explain this issue to me that is quoted from page 15? I ordered the Driver's Assistant package but not the plus package. i thought about getting the "360 camera" option as well prior to production. I didn't care for the lane change warning vibration etc. so didn't want the plus but if there is some unpublished change to the dash then i'll consider it.

And for what it is worth, I ordered an X5 on November 21st, they are now quoting me late February after quoting me, 3-4 weeks, 6-7 weeks, end of January and now the 3rd week of Feb. date...

No - but if you call the 800# and speak to the rep they can give you a better update than what you see online.

Nice build! When did you receive notification of the production date?

I submitted my order on 11/24 for a December allocation and am still awaiting a production date. I spoke with BMWNA today and they said there is no confirmed production date and it tentatively will go into production this week or next. [anxiously waiting]

I called the #800 number today and they mentioned the production completion date.

As posted elsewhere on this forum:

I ordered a 2014 X5 diesel (fully loaded) on December 23rd. It went into production today, January 7th, according to the "MyBMW" web site which I have been checking daily. Assuming it will take a day or two to manufacture, 2 weeks for transport and certification and then expect delivery to the dealership the last week of January.

Yes. From my CA. The 800# can give it to you also, but I often was told they didn't have it, so it seems to depend on who answers the phone and is willing to disclose it... I would literally be told they have no estimate after a different agent gave me the estimated production date. I would tell them what I was told, then they would say "oh yeah, that is it..."

Just was told by my dealer that my 35d, "loaded," will be built 1st week of february and my dealer expects me to be able to pick it up in the week of Feb 17th at the latest after all dealer installs and prep are completed

I too have an order (placed Nov 14) with 469 20 Inch wheels on an MSport and they told me my Jan 6 production slot got pushed out to Feb 3 because of 469 20 inch wheel shortages. They offered to substitute with y spoke 20s but I declined, Very frustrating. I interested to see if your order got built this week. let me know. Thanks.

Though neither my CA nor BMWNA could tell me which options were creating the delay. I too have the 20" wheels and ivory nappa, surround camera, etc (basically everything I listed before that was apparently causing a delay). I will post to this string as soon as my status changes.

I have ordered the surround camera on my 35d and its in production now so that's not the cause of the delay. I have 19" wheels + black dakota leather.

Today, I noticed that the BMW website is now offering the Y spoke 20" in addition to the 20" 469M wheels on the M sport, which was never offered before. When I made the selection on the build site, cost of option for Y spoke was not included. Could this be a free upgrade on the M package? If is, I would consider it. I will check with my SA tomorrow before my order is finalized...

I ordered on November 08 and finally received the production number on January 06. Build ETA is scheduled for early February and should be at the dealer by mid February.
