M-Sport with DHP - How did you set your Drivers Settings?

Hi All,

Just curious as to how most of you with DHP and M-Sport have your car setup.

For example I have mine set so that Sport only adjusts the chassis and not the drivetrain. It seems that Sport + adjusts both anyway, is that correct?

I stay in comfort mode around town and I do leave the auto shut off on. I haven't decided if I like this or not - and I'm still a bit worried about the strain this puts on the starter motor, etc.

What do you all do?

Thanks,

I've got Sport set to be chassis only, as I like the firmer ride but wanted the shift points / throttle feeling of comfort mode. As for the Auto Start/Stop, first thing I did was turn it off. I'm sure BMW has bench tested the starter components, but in stop and go traffic, 60-70 start/stops on the way home is dreadfully painful to hear. I'll sacrifice a little more fuel burn.

For fun - sport mode button ON, shift gear into Sport mode. Sportiest setting to drive around town (I don't use Sport+ since it turns off the TC).

Otherwise - just cruise in Comfort mode. I don't use ECO PRO or Start/Stop function.

All sporty in Sport and All Comfy in Comfort

love the tranny kick at the sport mode, I have the M sport transmition option - which is supposeldy only a software thing to make it "feel" sporty by kicking your back while shifting

start stop fully disabled by coding at the dealer
(start stop can never be healthy for any car in thr long run)

wish ecopro was erasable mode ) save that for Prius

But doesn't going to Sport + do the sport transmission mode anyway? Isn't pulling the shifter over to sport mode the same too?

You mean the little kick or jolt the car does when upshifting in Sport Mode? That's a software code-enabled feature? That's interesting.

I love it when the car does that. Or I manually upshift right at 2.5k rpm, that's when the car does the jolt

Chassis only in Sport/Sport+.
Last week in Yosemite valley the Auto stop start came in handy in the traffic jam that occurs when there is a lot of water flowing this time of the year.
Eco-Pro yielded 20 extra miles on the ride down the hills from there. Nice!

Does pulling the shifter over if you have an M-Sport not do the exact same thing as having sport mode adjust the transmission?

I'm sorry, I mis-read your original question from transmission to suspension.

I'm not entirely sure what it does when moving the shifter to the left except that it provides a more aggressive shifting points.

And isn't that what the M-Mode really is?
