Enable Apple CarPlay on an F15 2017

Hello guys,

I've just bought an F15 model 2015.
I'm currently located in Romania.
Is the Apple CarPlay enabled based on the location you are going to use the car?
What do I have to do in order to be able to use the Apple CarPlay in the F15?
The car has been bought with the BMW ConnectedDrive Advanced package.
The option of Apple CarPlay not available in the menu. Just the "Screen Mirroring" which unfortunately can only be used with Android devices

you have a 2017 or 2015 cause the subject title say f15 2017, but then you say f15 2015.apple carplay is enabled on 2017 models an up only, it's not a software upgrade

In order to be able to purchase apple carplay on the connected drive website you need to have the professional nav and extended bluetooth. BMW will not sell you apple carplay unless you have the extended bluetooth.

If you don't have extended bluetooth I believe you can code it - but that will not help you as BMW will still think you don't have it.

I have the "Extended connectivity" option on the car. Any other reason why I do not have Apple CarPlay as an option in the car?
Alo I have the NBT Evo navigation.
So both of the options you describe are present on my car.

It seems that you are missing option 6CP (apple carplay) which, if i understand correctly, cannot simply be coded. You need to buy it from connecteddrive portal. The process is described here, but it could be geographically restricted (haven't tried it, Android user):

I've googled apple carplay and countries and the following web link does not show Carplay as available in Romania.

Seems Romania has been left out from the crows
I don't understand why it's geographically restricted, since it's not dependent on the operator

Do you have a BMW connected drive account ?.

I have just purchased a 2017 model year F86 and it showed no apple car play in the car.
Onece I registered an account at www.bmw-connecteddrive.co.uk the apple car play was there if I paid £235.00. This is then sent to the car via a software update.

I've bought the car in Romania from BMW dealership.
Unfortunately it's not possible to register my car using the VIN on bmw-connecteddrive.co.uk.
Where are you located?

They keep telling me that this Apple CarPlay is not yet supported by ConnectedDrive in Romania
