Runflat tech is great in concept. You don't need to stop on the side of dangerous motorway and possibly get run over. Spare tires take up space and are quite heavy, so you gain space and shed some weight. They are more resilient when it comes to potholes and other debris on the road due to stiffer sidewalls.
This is all in concept of course... they're utterly useless when you're 300 miles from the closest shop that sells runflat tires and you've just suffered a blowout in the middle of the desert. (BTW that happened to me, luckily I kept a spare in the car).

On my Dunlop's RFT, I have exactly 21,455 miles and visually, I can probably get another 4k or 5K.
P Zero owners, how long as your tread lasted until the wear indicator showed up?
