retro fit EU light switch to get rear fog lights?

Hi All,

Can I retro fit an EU light switch to get rear fog lights? I did this on my F25 X3, replace switch...got rear fog lights...no coding?

Try searching as there are several threads about this topic.

Yes and No. If you do so, you will lose Brake Force Display (see manual). Also, see post #12 here from wdimagineer who is the only person to have done this correctly, twice (once on an F15 and now on his F85). To get the corrects portion of the rear light to light up, you would need new euro rear lights, new wiring harness, new switch, and coding. If you just want the brighter red to show up, and lose Brake Force, other have done it and they are covered in other threads.
