The Volvo 2016 XC90 sure looks great if you need little more space especially in the 3rd row. The T8 plug in hybrid R-Design sure looks very nice!

Great thread.
GL63 or LX570 - Big cars but might be too much of a behemoth? Have to test drive them, however. Previous generation Cayenne GTS - very tempting... X5M - tempting as well and must be beastly, but it's another BMW. |

Damn you're on this forum too? I just noticed you over at the RR forum lol. Thats one I thing I miss going to other car brands, no other forum like BMW forums.

the F15 is our family car and as such, its replacement will be as well.. Most likely another F15, but possibly the new Q7 (only if it looks MUCH better in person than the pics I've seen so far) or new XC90 (assuming it drives better than what I've read). Maybe through Cayenne in there too, but that's less likely the way they option and lease. I would through the RR sport in there too, but every time I want one, I'm scared off by the reliability. I've come close twice (the old model both times), but just can't bring myself to do it, especially not now that the SUV is our family car that my wife drives, not my daily.

Next Car
I pulled the plug last month for a 2016 M3 in Sakhir Orange and will take delivery in September. The M3 will be mine and the X5 is the wife's. I cannot wait!!!!

I was tempted to wait for the Volvo XC90 T8 and run it as a company car, rather than running the X5 privately. The interior space is fantastic but didn't get as far as a test drive as the missus wouldn't entertain the idea, and if we need that much space I've got a VW Transporter anyway
I'll be interested to see what the next generation LR Discovery will be like as the Vision Concept looked promising. As for the next car purchase, probably something a bit more selfish now we have the X5, the M2 is the most likely candidate at the moment! |

Hard to think about the next car since we just picked up our F15 35d a few weeks ago...
But i see an M3 Euro Delivery in my 2017 future we'll still have X5 then, i think too. For the car to replace the X5, well - i haven't seen anything that comes close yet. When the new Q7 comes out, we'll have to drive it and see. The diesel is supposed to be faster and get even better mpg's. Hard to imagine! I just had the choice to buy whatever i wanted, and I choose a new F15 X5. So at the moment, i would buy it again for sure. Nothing is even close so far. Perfect size, great tech, excellent mpg's, very quick (though it will get some motor tuning), and fantastic interior.

I'm trying to persuade my wife to back out of our X5 order and buy a Tesla Model S instead. The only thing that is stopping her is the lack of chargers along a road trip she frequently makes, and also wondering if the car is convenient for a toddler and newborn.
