I own a KIA Sorento as a third car just to be taken to places I don't want to take my F15 or my wife's Q5. The car has been good for over 50,000 no issues regarding engine but the built feels like the car has 200,000 kms on the odometer, suspension is done, handling was never good, now is worst, seats look like crap, etc etc.
The engine is just a 2.4cyl with very old technology, I still can image how someone can even compare any KIA, Hyundai against any of the top premium brands..... At the end, the car has worked for me for what I bought it for, and will buy a new one for the same kind of use as soon as my lease expires Don't get me wrong, they are not bad cars, they are cars made for people who just want to drive from point A to point B, not for drivers

I had a Kia Optima (new one) as a rental in Denver and although I would never own one, it was a surpisingly nice car to drive around.

Pretty sure everyone buys BMW (German cars) for image. Wouldn't true enthusiast buy M's and AMG's?
I driven some great SUV's 20k cheaper that would get the job done from getting point A to B nicely or more dependably. |

After owning 2 M3's, 1 X6M and 1 M4, I decided to go back to basics due to road conditions down here, so I bought a fully loaded F15 30d (Diesel), we have no roads for high performance cars down here anymore....

Common to all BMWs? 4th BMW in 15 years and I've replaced 2 windshields, none in the X5, and 2 more in my non-BMWs. I've had 2 cracked fog light lenses, neither of which were on my BMWs. My X5 has 15000 miles and not a single problem of any kind. So, no, not common to all BMWs and not common to all X5s.

The new CX-9 is almost a direct knockoff of the X5 down to the split armrest and infotainment dial. I like the car probably because it looks just like my X5...yet is not the same

While the CX-9 is nice, it's only available with a 250 hp turbo 4, with no V6 option. That's fine for some but most people that appreciate BMWs would want for more

Looks very good in pictures and numbers. I went to see it and was very disappointed.
The front grill was very un-proportionally and unattractively big compared to the other elements of the car. and interior features can be better when compared to other cars in this segment. only thing I liked was the interior design. at the end of the day, Mazda didn't receive my money.

I've owned 2 lexus. Lexus does not know what the shop is for except washes and
oil changes. The GX 460 was well appointed suv but the handling was poor. BMW handles better but has some issues. Did look at the GX 460 again before the 2016 x5. Lexus salesman was honest and said no changes have been made to the platform. Maybe a couple of years out, so stayed with BMW.. Past BMW 5 series was ok, 335i was ok ( well dealer caused 1 left a connection off lost power, 328i is ok). The 13 X5 diesel was nothing but steady problems. All diesel related. If was a gasser probably been like the others. |
