Canadian Option Question - Driving Assistant Plus
Can someone tell me what exactly is included in this option? It's $2500 or $1900 if you have the tech package. My salesperson didn't inspire much confidence when he told me what it was.

Technology package will receive Adaptive Cruise Control ( ACC) with Stop and Go functionality ( option 5AT) as an upgraded option $1900.
I liked the ACC. Works good, I like the feature. It was scary when a car cut in front of me. I was doing 120km the cutter doing say 100km. Instinct told me to apply brake. I was say 6 feet behind him and the brakes were auto applied and continued to reduce my speed to match the slower speed of cutter. Also, if I am doing 100km, and I approach a car doing 80, mine will slow to 80. If other car speeds to 90 mine will also go to 90. If other car goes to 110, mine will go to 100 ( the speed limit chosen). Anyhow, this is based upon me trying all the new features on the highway for say a 30 minute drive. So this is what I remember. Also, if someone has experienced otherwise please feel free to correct me. |

That is my understanding. the above is from the BMW Canada Inc 2014 Product Planning Bulletin, August 2, 2013. The teaser was that TJA was to be included for the Dec builds then it was deleted. Moving target. Just ask your salesperson for the bulletin , or try.... another dealer, manager.... The bulletin is the key.
