Project: fender extensions

Hey guys, need some opinion here please

I'm thinking on painting my fender extensions to mineral white, as a test, I plastidipped the rear fender flare and a small part of the rear balance in order to get an idea how will look.

On this first picture I made a small comparison of the 2 choices I have, on the left column is the one with the small rear balance piece painted in white (I love how it looks from behind, but not sure on the side picture though), on the right hand is without paint.

This is the rear balance part I painted in detail, it has a nice edge where to divide the white from the black

Also I did a poor photoshop just to see how the car will look with just the fender extensions painted, take a look;

Can you do the plastidip under the running boards too?
Did the dip fill in the roughness of the black extensions?
We have the same car in Alpine White, x line and 20's?
My wife hates the running boards. I like them.

I really don't think plastidip is a solution I just did it for the pictures, is already gone by now, plastidip always gives you a mate look and kind of rough finish.

I'm trying to find a picture I had of an X5 exactly like mine with all the lower black trim painted in mineral white (including running boards), if I find it, I will post it

I'm also not a big fan of running boards, thinking on replacing them for a rocker panel....

I prefer the LHS but with that design you will need to paint the side skirt as well for it to flow.
