2016 X6 only 1 power outlet up front?

wow, I was shocked when I realized there was no outlet underneath the glove box (like my X3 and 335i had), then I figured I could use the USB in the glovebox for my camera since it can be USB powered, NOPE no USB in the glovebox anymore either!

So basically you can only hook up one device to your windshield, either radar detector or camera, but not both unless you want a wire running from your armrest area to the windshield (not intrusive at all )

Seriously in a $70K+ car they can't give you a power option under the glovebox anymore???

luckily my wife will be driving this most often and its the camera that wins out (cord tucks around things nicely and then through headliner on top of windshield, only spot it shows is going from passenger door bottom to top of windshield as the liner up the pillar is too tight to get the wire in there).

I am really hoping they didn't eliminate the power under glovebox and USB in glovebox on my 2016 M3 that arrives next month.

I think I have used the one behind the central armrest and placed the cable over and into the central glove box.

.

I wired a cam and detector directly, no loose wires draped anywhere, took 30 minutes ...
I kept the V1 on the normal mount instead of a Blendmount as I thought it presented the
detector too low
