Black Chrome Rims

Saw these at the dealer on a 5 Series. They are 20" and look super sharp! Picture doesn't do justice. CA told me they don't fit on the new X5, but I'm sure where there's will....

Black chrome or PVD use to b a big fav of mine. When I had my RR Sport Super I had black chrome rims and although they looked sick they were nothing but problems! Scratch very easily, peeled in various spots in curved areas on wheel and in the various types of Chicago weather.... Look amazing on black and white vehicles but must just be a tough finish to be on a wheel.

Unfortunately, it's just the surface (and a thin part of the surface) that is black. You'll be fine if you never come near a curb or never get bumped by anyone else's wheel or never get hit by a pebble kicked up by another car. And you'll be fine if you also only ever hand wash the wheels yourself…..
