Equalizer settings for HK

I would love to see CNET tune this system. Back when i had a 335i the suggested settings i found on here were AMAZING. Couldn't believe how awesome it made the HK L7 system sound. Hopefully someone with tools has an F15 and posts up.

I found a new setting i'm enjoying quite a bit. I would like to hear peoples opinion on it:

Treble +1
Bass +2

L7 On

100 0
200 -1
500 -2
1k +1
2k +2
5k -1
10k 0

Do you just tune into radio or do you use Bluetooth connection to play from Spotify/Phone Music? I've done my good share of tinkering around with the settings as well. The ideal setting was not satisfying enough so I played around with the phone's equalizer settings (e.g. Spotify) and now I'm satisfied..

Don't forget to consider the source. I would assume many people stream via Bluetooth from their phone as I do. Check the EQ settings on your phone too if so.

I was using my phone plugged into the car via the iPhone cord. Used downloaded music, not streaming to test best sound. I should use a CD honestly, i am sure that's the best source of quality recording.

It diminishes the quality. Most recordings aren't made to support it.

I prefer crispness at all volumes and not much over the top bass like most people do... so I will try this setting and report back. Thanks

So I tried this setting for a week and don't like it.. I have to increase my volume by a lot more than usual to hear the music.. I went back to my previous setting until I find something better.

I got this setting from the other forum and I'm no expert in sound but for me this sounds the best so far.

+1 for fader to the rear. Made a big difference to me in terms of the fullness of the sound. I still need to work on eq settings though

I'm glad this came up again. I recently placed an order for a 2016 x6 50i Anna one of the " must haves" was the HK audio system. The BO system wasn't worth the amount they want for it, my opinion, of course.

My question is, does the HK system come standard with the executive package? I built my car a few times over the past few months, before finalizing my order with BMW last week. I remember a few months ago, the HK system was an option available on the build your own website, but it wasn't an available option at all when I emailed my build order to my SA.

Do any of you know if the HK system is standard for our car, a standard option that comes with an available package, or am I gonna be stuck with a sub par sound system in my otherwise perfect "for me" car?

I will agree that the 500Hz band **MUST** go negative when L7 is used. I dont know what they were thinking when they set the defaults up. The person that did it must have being tone deaf !! Certainly the worst default audio settings of any car i've owned.
