I've been reading this forum a lot lately and I would like to thanks all members for sharing experiences and information.

We just got this delivered this week. We are back to BMW after almost 10 years and we are very happy with our choice.

I despised silver cars for years as the market was flooded with the color. My mindset changed when I saw a GSM on black Dakota while shopping for my X5. The color looks stunning. Great choice and enjoy!

The more pics I see of 469Ms, the more I wish I custom ordered vs buying a lot-car.

I traded in our Panamera back in April since my wife was not really driving it. Salesman contacted me on Jul/8 to inform we could order a MY2016. Order was placed on Jul/10. On Jul/17 I changed roof rails from black to satin aluminum (thanks to member turbotoy4me for posting photos of his X5 with SA rails).

Production started on Aug/10 and Track Your BMW changed to "at your dealer" status on Aug/17. Picked up the car on Aug/18

The 19" 467Ms, hence my himmin' and hawin' about spacers, 285 rear tires, etc.

I did the same but I got such a good discount for a car off the lot that I happily traded in my 497 for staggered oem 21 375 M wheels and still saved compared to custom order (which for me would have taken 5-6 months because i live in HK)

I hope it last for a few months.. till my kids replace it with the famous "Chick fil A" smell

I am really surprised that GSM isn't a more popular color since it's really beautiful when seeing it in person.

Since you have 3rd row, what's your opinion about it? Are adults 5'3" - 5'5" going to be comfortable for short trips around town?

If you have a chance, can you take some photos of the leg room for the 3rd row? Thanks in advance!

This video should give you a better idea than photos:

Keep in mind that the 2nd row slides (front / back) around 5-7 inches creating more leg room for the 3rd row. For sporadic trips the 3rd row will work just fine. But sincerely, If you plan to use the 3rd row on a daily basis I don't think the X5 is your best option.
