Drag strip times

will be taking the 50i msport to Palm Beach International Raceway next Wednesday the 2nd. its a drivers club night that i was invited too.

will post info and maybe videos when i get the chance, but i am uber pumped to get this baby on the track.

BMS tune and GTHAUS exhaust....

i hope to beat every SUV time ever posted on the road track... minus the fact we have sub 10 second diesel pickup 1/4miles around here...i know of many SRT-M-AMG SUVS that race over there and expect the msport50i to compete well

13.44 at 104.5 MPH

whaat do you think?

with Launch Control, Scrubbed and hot tires,

but the engine was also very hot due to multiple laps on a road course

I agree. Seems slower that a stock 50. You should be in the mid 12's

i am taking another trip up in a few weeks.

i need to make sure i have no exhaust leaks because i feel there might be some crevices at the cat back joint.

then i will test and tune.
-switch up the BMS tune power.
-open/close GTHAUS exhaust
-Launch control and Regular Launch
-Hot/Cold Engine.

the previous run was great, but that launch control seems to really have a very slow build up of acceleration. i think i might deactivate all traction controls, and do a regular launch

Catback leaks should not hurt power.

Open the exhaust valves....more power for sure.

Launch Control should help ET because you will leave with 4ish psi of boost vs just stomping the pedal. You could try deactivating all TC and footbrake a wide open throttle launch to build boost before the green,,,,should mimic LC though...

Hood open and cool down should really help the ET since timing retard due to high AIT , will knock the power down. I'd give it an hour cool down before the first pass with the hood open.

A nice test would be stock tune vs BMS both with cool engines. Rare, but sometimes a "tune" can be too aggressive and the DME will pull timing and kill power even though it "feels" faster down low.

At least 93 octane.

You'll be in the 12's when it is sorted out.

Good luck.

i always use 93. and the exhaust was open....

what was killing it was the 90 degree weather and earlier track time

i definitely need to get engine temps down before running the drag
