Pretty much exactly what I expect it to look like. Perhaps a few subtle differences between the X5 and the X6, but most of the F15 changes will be carried over.

The air intakes and front bumper lower skirt is slightly different from the current f15. Do you see that BMW will use this bumper for the 2015 F15?

for start...the foglights are displaced in this render...although I would have preferred this render's position for foflights (compared to where they actually are on F15)...however, they are not going to change the fog light design from X5 to X6...remember that the X6 is the lowest cost engineered vehicle for BMW...all investment has been done for X5...no major design changes can be tolerated for revenue purposes...
see the photo below for fog lights...

Stating the obvious perhaps but this is where the X vehicle naming convention has gone south. Across the BMW line the higher number indicates a larger vehicle. The X6 should be a larger SUV and what is desperately needed- a try seven passenger SUV

Just an X5 with a sloping roof line. Nothing to see here at all.

I hope this render isn't at all accurate to what the final car will look like, otherwise it'll be a huge disappointment. No differentiation from the X5 at all except for the roof

What do you think the current X6 is? These types of comments always puzzle me. People will always have their own opinion but it's not hard to see that the X6 when first introduced was nothing more than a X5 that had a coupe like appearance with the sloping roofline. I don't think anyone was expecting this to change with the FXX X6. This was the same with the 4-Series as well. For some reason people thought it was going to be some drastically new car but it's nothing more than a 3-Series with 2 doors...and a name change.

Exactly what I've been thinking the entire time...it's pretty much all marketing hype.

The old X6 actually had a slight lower hood/cowl than the X5. The used this front end on the X5M which gave it a very slightly different appearance than the regular version. Wonder if they do it this time around.

Render does look very good. It looks aggressive. The new X6M will be a beast!

As long as the rear doesn't look like the F15 (current X5), it will still be ok. I am really disappointed with the 2014 X5's rear (front is ok). I feel that the exterior design went downhill.

Well the current X6 has sleeker headlights than the last X5, and that, with its sloping roof line and diferent tailights gave it a more sportier/premium look over the X5, which, for some, could justify the loss of praticality, and the steeper price.

Well, with the X3/4 will be the same thing and everyone will buy it anyway, so why waste money designing/producing diferent elements for each one. Good for BMW.

The X6 will have small design cues here and there but don't stray too far away from the X5 but in no way should it be mistaken to be anything more than a coupe-like X5. It's pretty simple actually, people look at all these new models BMW is coming out with and it's not that hard. All the "original" BMW's now have a sportier or coupe complement:

3-Series/4-Series
X3/X4
5-Series/6-Series
X5/X6.

This is exactly my point. The X6 is a smaller vehicle than the X5 which I am well aware when I was shopping for SUV last year. My family needs a full size 7 passenger vehicle and would love for BMW to have this. I'm hoping for an X7 to take care of this
