My New 2016 X6 35i M Sport Mineral White Coral Red

thought I would post some quick pics, picked it up this Saturday, production finished August 1 (took 2 weeks to get from SC to IL).

iphone pics, not the best, I will update when I have a chance for a better photo shoot.

20" wheels, a must with M sport, look so awesome in person.
My only complaint about the car so far is the lack of power outlets up front (nothing in/under glovebox) and I wish you could get coral red leather with the ventilation option, everything else is amazing (coming from an X3 and 335i), the leather feels nicer than our last cars which is odd because they all have "Dakota leather". Backseat is also great, I had 3 adults in it this weekend and they had tons of room, can even fit an adult between 2 car seats if needed!

I still don't get how people look at the X6 (especially M Sport) and say its ugly, I guess its no different than how people view art differently. Also seems like the 40 and under crowd likes the design a lot more than the 40 and over crowd (from the comments we have received so far).
I understand its not as "practical" as the X5 and I am paying $2500 more for that, but its just so much more unique (BTW I love the X5, we have the luxury of being able to trade with my parents who have one if we ever need it for hauling).

I also wish the X5 had the red leather
I'm also liking the vent cover... I wonder if that piece will fit the X5?

Edit: I actually like the previous X6 rear better than the new one... But I love the newer design of the front.

Yeah we actually considered the X5 and would have possibly gotten it but really wanted a color either inside or out, currently the X5 has no such option (very Mercedes like with colors, no red's or Blue's other than super dark blue), maybe this will change with the LCI

Garage List
For red interior of my X5 was asked from BMW 8000$ to 12000$ and I gave up on red leather!
They said everything can be put but there is specified price!
I like but not at any price.

Gorgeous color combo and it looks great. Congrats on the new ride.

Personally, I'd consider the X6 only if I had another SUV in the garage for practical reasons. With kids and trips skiing or to the beach, I don't think we'd fit everything in an X6 even with a roof box. That said, when we get rid of the E90 I'll likely cross shop this with the Macan or even the M3. Did you check out the Macan when shopping for this purchase?

The X6 is a major head-turner. Beautiful color combination.

We went from a X3 to the X6, huge upgrade in materials, not much overall cargo space difference. The Macan is tiny compared to the X6, we looked at it but the trunk was no different than a 3 wagon. Cayanne trunk is about the same as the X6 trunk in total space.

Ended up getting the X6 and M3, we did briefly contemplate getting the X6M and a mini countryman (cost would have been less, wife loves the countryman). Could have actually gotten a lot of different combos as the M3 and X6 stickered for right around $150K together... X6 was $73,520, we got it for $600 over invoice plus $180 "training fee" (so $68,900)

As to the other question, I am 36 and my wife is 38 (plus 2 toddlers).

not doing tints on the X6 (lease) plus we got the side window shades, that with the regular tint looks okay. My M3 I will have tinting done.

Northwest suburbs, just west of 294/94 split.
