That's right Akhter. I have Hifi (Standard) no HK. My big question here is: How can I install the tweeter? there is no bracket/housing... just an empty space.

So, wht can I do now? is that "tweeter empty space" all I need to install my HK tweeter? To remove the grill was easy, but now I don't know how to do the rest any help will be really appreciated here friends.
So hopefully you are not trying to do this yourself because an installer will know how to do this and won't make costly mistakes. Basically you need to get a quadlock harness to avoid cutting cables and run a set of cables to the back left storage compartment where the amp will sit. Then you need to run cables from there to the new speakers and and tweeter.

there is also some stuff to worry about on the center. the center signal my have already be crossed over from amp (ie. not full range) so you cannot use the single mid signal and split. you also cannot use the amp L or R signals. so you need a signal summing device out of the full range L+R. you also may need to use something like JL audio cleansweep to flatten the signals (if they are not flat on base hifi). i had to do this on my e90 because the crappy hifi speakers were so bad that bmw had to eq them from head unit.

if i were u what i would do is leave the center alone or replace with a coax 4 inch instead of adding a tweeter as it is too complicated.

upgrade teh doors and add a simple 4ch amp (like jl audio). if u want better, add a cleansweep to flatten the signal. if u want more then upgrade the center to coax and use a signal summing and use the 3rd channel of the 4ch amp.

Alright. What 4 " coax should I buy for center? Is this p&p? Not special bracket required?

Below should be pnp with wiring and the mounting. Just check the clearance in grill and underneath.

One question for the speaker genius here:

I have the standar hifi ...if I buy the top hifi or high-end (B&O) speakers, are they p&p? I know I "must" add the amp also, but I won't do that...so, maybe upgrading only those speakers do the improvement enough?

Ps: I'd like to replace center console 4" speaker and rear doors speakers...while My focal speakers for front doors are still in customs since July 24 here

You only have one 4" mid in the rear doors, correct? I know HK has a component (mid and tweeter).

Most speakers are technically plug and play... It's the bracket that BMW uses that makes it difficult. All speakers have terminals that wire goes into... But mounting the speakers is what BMW has made difficult.

Right, but since this "upgrade" is using the top hifi speaker for the exact car model (my F15) will it fit using my old hifi bracket?

I'm almost certain BMW uses the same 3 hole brackets (vs traditional 4) across all lines.

No, but I'm going to. I will move the 100KRS components to the rear doors and get the KRX2s for the fronts... But that will require a modification to the front door panel as they have a 6.5" mid. It will also require an amp upgrade and processor. I'm probably going to wait until the spring because it doesn't sound bad the way it is... I just want a little more.

Nice. I'm not doing any amp modification/replace...and I'm thinking I may need it... this option: http://www.bimmer-tech.net/audio-amplifier-for-bmw/ sounds nice since it doesn't require any mods...just p&p ...any other ideas? my "hifi" system amp...

You might not have to. I was pleasantly surprised (granted i have HK) and wanted to see hoe it was before replacing the amp. Take it in steps... If the sound is where you want it to be there is no need to replace the amp. If you're craving more then ask yourself if it's worth the financial obligation to upgrade. You may surprise yourself and be satisfied.

Hello my friends! Today is the day! I'll finally upgrade my standard speakers with Focal 100KRS and tweeters. They came with 2 crossovers and I am not educated about how it works. I'm also curious about the crossover settings. is there a "recommended" settings for the F15?

Our amp/DSP kit is the best option to upgrade the stock HiFi system.
It's the only amp/DSP which is 100% plug and play and installation in an F15 takes 15 minutes.

Don't take my words for granted and check what F30 guys say:
http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1133999

We are running a special on this kit until tomorrow (check the banner below).
If there is anyone willing to review it feel free to email us for more info.

Hi Patryk, here is my setup:
-F15 with HiFi System
Then upgraded to:
-Center Console HK Tweeter and MidRange Speakers
-Front Doors Focal 100KRS Midrange and tweeters
-Rear Doors OEM Hifi Midrange Speakers

My questions:
-Is this Amp better/worse than Logic 7 Pro (HK Amp)?
-Will your software be able to equalize my setup?
-Every time I want to change my EQ settings, I understand I have to code using OBD and laptop?
-If you code the car in order to show L7 in iDrive, will this work in otder to equalize your amp? This is just an idea...

Thanks!

So, here is my setup!

Front doors: Focal 100KRS
Center Console: HK

No amp for now, but it sounds much better than my standard speakers!
