Nav system odd behaviour
Has anyone seen this behaviour with the nav system.
You set a destination and drive to it, on my dash I have the non extended LCD panel so only have the bottom right half of the dash as an LCD panel. In the left of the LCD/centre of the dash you get nav directions etc. Once you get to your destination the nav guidance stops but when you drive away from the destination you get an arrow in the left portion of the LCD panel indicating the direction back to the destination you have just left and are currently driving away from. Any ideas why? Seems completely pointless to me an as if something isn't quite right with the nav system software when you drive away without setting a new destination. |

My old Garmin did the same thing - as if it didn't know you reached your destination. It think it is a common problem with all Nav systems. I just use voice control to say cancel guidance.

That's all well and good, but at the time that the direction arrow shows up I don't have an active destination in the sat nav.
To clear it I have to enter a new destination and then cancel guidance which isn't ideal. Reading the 'Annoying things in the X5' thread, someone else mentioned the exact same problem a few months back. Last edited by NPickles; 02-22-2015 at 06:15 PM.. |
